Free tools · Size cheat sheet
Every picture size, one platform at a time.
Pick a platform and see the pixels for its profile picture, cover and post picture, and the character limit of every text. The numbers are read from the same specification the FABLS app uses, so they match what it checks.
The tool
Pick a platform.
Copy the size.
Search for a platform, or keep them all on the page. Each picture is drawn to scale: round where the platform crops it to a circle, with a dashed line around the part where text is safe.
Drawing these by hand? FABLS draws every one of them at these sizes, from your colours and logo.
Make the pictures in FABLSHow to use it
Pick, copy,
make the picture.
A picture at the wrong size is cropped by the platform, usually through the logo or the words. Making it at the right size, with the important part in the middle, avoids the crop.
- 1Choose a platformSearch for the platform in the list, or keep all of them on the page and scroll to the one you are setting up.
- 2Copy the size you needEach picture lists its width and height in pixels. Press Copy to put the size on the clipboard, or copy the whole sheet for the platform.
- 3Make the picture at that sizeSet your design tool to that size. Where the outline is round, keep the subject inside the circle; where it has a dashed line, keep the words inside it.

Where the numbers come from
One specification,
not a retyped table.
Every number on this page is read from FABLS's profile specification, as the platforms published their limits in October 2026. It is the file the app's profile kit draws its forms from and its checks read, so the cheat sheet and the app cannot disagree.
The guide Profile and cover sizes 2026 has the same figures as tables, with the platforms' own notes for a LinkedIn company Page, YouTube and Google Business Profile.
Plain about it: if a platform has changed a number since October 2026, the platform is right and this page is behind. Check its help before you upload something you spent time on.
In FABLS
The sizes are made
for you.
In FABLS, Channels has Set up a profile. For each platform it draws the profile picture, the cover, the highlight or board covers and the picture for each first post at exactly these sizes, from your colours and logo, with the subject kept inside the safe zone. You download them together with the texts in one file.
Plain about it: the pictures are drawn from your colours, your logo and your words. They are not generated artwork, so the logo and the name are always spelled right.
Questions
Quick answers.
What size should a social media profile picture be?
It depends on the platform, and several want a square that is then shown in a circle. Pick the platform in the tool: it lists the size in pixels and says whether the picture is cropped to a circle.
What is the safe zone on a cover?
Phones and desktops crop the sides of a cover differently. The safe zone is the middle part of the width where the words and faces survive every crop, shown in the tool as a dashed line.
Where do these numbers come from?
From FABLS's profile specification, as the platforms published their limits in October 2026. It is the file the app itself draws its profile kit from.
Are the sizes the same on every platform?
No. Even two platforms from the same company differ, which is why the tool shows one platform at a time and lists every picture it asks for.
Does the tool send anything anywhere?
No. It runs in your browser and there is nothing to type that would be sent.
