A Threads profilemade from Instagram.
Four steps from a business Instagram account to a Threads profile with a name, a picture, a short bio, one link and a pinned first post.
Before you start
Three things,
ready first.
- The business's Instagram accountThreads has no sign-up of its own: you log in with Instagram, and the profile starts from that account.
- A bio of up to 150 charactersAnd one link, because a Threads profile has room for only one.
- A first post of up to 500 charactersOne that says what the business is, ready to pin.
The steps
Step by step,
in this order.
A Threads profile is your Instagram profile seen from Threads: the name, the username and the picture are Instagram's, and only the bio and the link are Threads' own. So most of the work is done on Instagram first.
- 1Join Threads with the business's Instagram accountOpen Threads and log in with the business's Instagram account: Threads has no sign-up of its own, and the profile starts from that account.
- 2Check the name, the username and the pictureThey come from Instagram, so if one is wrong, change it there. Keep the name and the username the business uses everywhere else, and a logo that stays inside a circle.
- 3Write the bio and add the linkAdd a bio of up to 150 characters in Threads. Put the business's website in the profile's link field: one link only.
- 4Post the first posts and pin onePost a few posts that introduce the business, each up to 500 characters, then pin the one that says the most: open its menu on Threads and choose Pin to profile.

With FABLS
FABLS and Threads,
said plainly.
FABLS connects Threads: it publishes to the profile, brings its replies to the inbox and counts its numbers. Set the profile up with the steps above, then connect it on Channels.
FABLS covers Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads, YouTube, Google Business Profile and WordPress. The Instagram account a Threads profile starts from is connected on its own, and the Threads profile is a second channel next to it, with its own share of the plan.
Plain about it: FABLS cannot read or change a Threads profile, so the profile steps are ticked by hand.
